Who's on the Docket? Peace Sandlin, Norman Patrick Morrison, Matthew Stewart, CHOSEN Ministry and Take No Glory Song Jury Duty... Have you ever turned up the volume on the radio because you liked a song? Have you ever turned the volume down on the radio because you disliked a song, or changed the station because you really disliked a song? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, you are qualified to be a Song Juror on this site. This qualification is based on the radical notion that people know whether or not they like a song when they hear one, even without coaching. If you’re interested in doing a little jury duty, log in if you have an account, or go to the contact us link for a free account so you be a part of discovering songs that could become our next hits. You never know what might happen. What do you think? Let us know on the blog page. How Does It Work... The Song Jury part of the website is not available to the general public. You need to have an account to log in and get to that part of the website (it's free). The way this works is that when you sign up to be a juror your account will be set up so that you can rate songs from all genres. When this selection is made, every songs submitted for approval with show up on your Song Jury docket. You can go into your user profile and select your 3 favorite genres from menus on the site. If you do that, only songs from those genres will appear on your Song Jury docket, which narrows the field considerably. If you have broad tastes in music, you should probably leave the 'all' button checked. Then you will be potentially eligible to judge any song submitted to this site. This will all make more sense when you get an account, log in and see how it works for yourself. This system works best when you only weigh in on songs from genres you like. Now for the Details... After you get an account, you log in as a juror in the upper right had of the website. Simply enter your account email address and password emailed to you when you signed up, and then click 'enter'. This will take you to your Juror account page where you can judge songs or update your profile. You will click on the 'rate' button in your user interface after listening to the songs and score them on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the best possible score. You will have the option to provide comments on the songs you've judged. Once you click the 'save' button, your score and comments will be averaged and added to what other jurors have scored and commented on that particular song. It takes 8 votes to complete a Song Jury session for each song. We want to keep things as objective in an imperfect world as possible, so artists cannot be jurors on their own music, but all artists can be jurors for other songs on this site. If you're still reading this, you are a trooper, and even more qualified to be a Song Juror. Thank you for your interest and click the contact us link if you found any typos.
